Summary:
Under general supervision of Corporate Director, Facility Services, responsible for supporting effective use and functionality of the Secure Supply Chain Vision Systems (hardware and software) across the network of distribution centers. This role is responsible for completing all tasks associated with maintaining and supporting optimal system performance, including installation, optimization, programming, training, diagnosing and repair of associated camera and imaging system components. This position will provide support of Vision System installations and ongoing support of associated devices and software at applicable distribution centers across North America as primary responsibilities. Additional responsibilities associated with safety, sustainability, technical training and systems improvements of building and MHE systems, including identifying deficiencies in system design or potential risk that may impair the performance of such systems and/or associated system hardware and software. This position may require a leadership capacity role or collaboration, requiring them to work with other members and/or groups within the organization.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures effective preventative maintenance plans and schedules for all Secure Supply Chain Vision Systems, hardware and software
Diagnose Vision System Equipment and Automated Picking System related error conditions occurring in the Distribution Center(s) and repairing appropriately
Oversees any maintenance, modifications, and/or system upgrades of Vision Systems and associated Automated Picking System controls
Assesses the efficiency of Vision Solution Equipment and Automated Picking Systems and defines necessary modifications or recommendations
Performs routine preventive maintenance tasks to ensure continued productivity of the Vision Systems working with other AmerisourceBergen groups and team members
Works with external business partners and equipment manufactures
Maintains records of work performed utilizing CMMS/EAM system for required repairs or service performed on equipment
Manages the inventory of spare parts
Must be willing to work extended hours, as needed, in order to meet productivity goals
Must be willing to travel as needed and work independently and be productively remotely
Performs related duties as assigned related to primary and additional responsibilities
Required Skills and Qualifications:
BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Information Systems is preferred
Requires some technical vocational training, or equivalent combination of experience and education
Normally requires four (4) years related and progressively responsible experience; strong industrial controls background preferred
Strong technical and operational knowledge of Computer Information Systems, mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment
Strong aptitude for repair and maintenance activities
Ability to read and interpret CAD layouts, illustrated parts breakdown (IPB) diagrams, electrical diagrams schematics' and network topology drawings
Ability to test equipment and instrumentation system including electrical, pneumatic, optical/vision systems
Ability to diagnose and repair industrial controls, electrical and mechanical issues
Task may include the testing, replacement or repair of industrial controls including electrical or mechanical systems
This includes three-phase or single-phase electrical systems up to 600volts, AC or DC motors, power supplies, frequency drives, servo drives, transformers, motor starters, proximity sensors, encoders, photo eyes, programmable logic controllers (PLC) and HMI's
Shall be capable of making custom drawings and schematics using CAD software
Ability to prepare budgets, cost estimates and perform project management duties
Knowledge and ability to load configurations, programs and configure PLC's, HMI's, Highspeed Cameras and scanners
Ability to program basic changes to PLC controllers including modifying timing, adding alarms and logic for additional inputs or outputs
Ability to properly wire additional devices to PLC's and other controllers
Ability to assemble, program, and diagnose industrial control systems
Have the technical knowledge and ability to design and assemble complete control systems for small to medium size automated MHE systems including the installation of PLC's, remote I/O modules, digital and analog input/ outputs, high speed counters, encoders, proximity sensors, frequency drives, and servos
Working knowledge of computer systems and personal computers
Computer hardware experience including the installation and setup of hard drives, RAM, network cards, monitor cards, and motherboards
Computer software experience including MS office (Excel, Word, Project...), and have experience of industrial automation software
Ability to troubleshoot communication issues with devices connected to the industrial controls network or other networks such as PROFIBUS, BACNET, LONWORKS, PROFINET, CAN-BUS, ASI, Etc.
Skills to include an understanding of device addressing, network switches, etc.
Strong analytical skills, ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently using data
Ability to identify Vision System application problems and implement standard courses of action to resolve problems within established determined timeframes that meet administrative and technical requirements
Technical knowledge and skills include the ability to design, assemble, program, and perform diagnostics of Vision Systems and Controls systems
Will possess the skills and knowledge to diagnose and maintain control systems for small to medium size automated MHE systems
Examples would include the installation of a single PLC Controller, remote I/O modules, or digital and/or analog input/outputs to control industrial equipment
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Strong interpersonal skills

This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
