Overview: The Account Manager is responsible for managing the accounting functions and providing information, primarily financial in nature, about all company activities that will assist management, its shareholders, and other users in making educated economic decisions about the company's future for the West Coast units of the Wish You Were Here Group. Duties/Responsibilities: Oversee the operations of the Accounting Department, which include accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank transfers. Respond to internal and external inquiries relating to accounts payable, accounts receivable, reimbursements, payroll-related transactions, and all other financial aspects of the business. Follow-up with internal and external teams to ensure financial processes are followed including AP approvals, statement requests, W9s, credit card receipts, inventory submission, and all other financial functions. Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk. Recommend benchmarks that will be used to measure the company's performance. Support in the production of the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management. Support in the production of accounting and financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments, cost, and budget decisions. Responsible for accurate accounting and reconciliation for assigned areas when requested by the 3rd Party Accounting Firm Maintain reconciliations of key balance sheet accounts for each financial period close (every 4 weeks) Work closely with management to collect any receivables. Review the State Specific Sales and Use Tax Reports and ensure compliance. Prepare, review, and submit the month end inventory counts. Monitor applicable licensing requirements, including city business and liquor compliance, fire permits, health permits, etc. Oversee all accounts payables functions. Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the audits. Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements. Perform all other duties as assigned. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Able to travel as needed. Salary Description $85,000
