Advance your career and grow your experience.Responsibilities: Performs patient care services under the supervision of a Dentist Assures accurate collection of patient medical history, cognitive/emotional diagnosis, and clinical care provided Prioritizes patient care based on resources, unit volume, and patient prognosis Provides patient education/teaching, explains insurance coverage/co-pays, and assures necessary documents are complete As directed by Dentist/Hygentist, obtains diagnostic dental x-rays using a safe radiology process Uses advanced behavior management techniques to support safe and effective care with uncooperative patients Performs administrative and registration duties, schedules patient visits, and engages in patient correspondence Additional duties as assignedQualifications: High School Diploma/GED is required. Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience. BLS-CPR certification required. Active Dental Radiology License in Indiana required within 9 months of hire date and maintained. Certification in Dental Assisting from and accredited program or on the job training with minimum of 2 years experience in Dental Assisting required. Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job required. Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English required. Requires the ability to demonstrate and foster diversity and inclusion skills. Requires excellent skills in handling apprehensive or difficult to manage children. Requires the ability to work with medically, physically, and/or cognitively compromised patients.
