We are currently hiring for a Business Development Manager - Ultra High Purity (BDM-UHP). This position is responsible for the strategic direction and growth of PFG's Ultra High Purity Division with particular focus on delivering organic growth in the Microelectronics market. The BDM-UHP is responsible for managing all UHP divisional sales, technical enquires, product development and any opportunity that manifests in top-line organic growth for the division. The role is indiscriminate of market sector and will assume global responsibility for high purity applications.
The role is intended to spearhead the UHP division into a period of aggressive growth, product development and technology evolution, fostering opportunities to deploy group capabilities into high purity use-cases, resulting in increased market share. The BDM-UHP will be responsible for identifying acquisition opportunities and JV's that complement the organic strategy.
Duties / ResponsibilitiesDevelop and present a three (3) year business growth strategy with a solid investment reward analysis that underpins how the UHP division will grow a sustainable and profitable top line.
The 3-year business plan will blend new product development, increased sales volumes of existing value streams, and changes in operational strategy/technology to cultivate an infrastructure for growth.
Leverage and develop existing distributor relationships to improve existing value streams.Identify new customer opportunities in distribution, Original Equipment (OE), and other sales channels.Determine opportunities for microelectronics liquid filter growth and steer the business development accordingly.Publish and maintain internal product competition database to ensure Porvair Filtration Group (PFG) remains a 'very' fast technology follower.Collaborate with PFG marketing to promote PFG's UHP division and ensure poignant marketing and product literature.Identify trade shows and exhibitions that sufficiently promote PFG products and remain responsible for their effectiveness.Approve business cases for new product development and proficiently present cases upwards as value dictates.Effectively manage a team of sales and technical professionals to ensure alignment to the strategic plan and the businesses core values.Provide technical support in design and manufacturing principles of UHP products and foster world class product/application and process knowledge.Remain acclimatized to market movements and competitor products: Acutely advise the UHP division of strategic changes to keep pace with competitors.Own and approve commercial proposals as governed by the business' trading policy.Support operational execution teams with strategy and transformational projects that positively influence customer satisfaction.Lead an intense focus on divisional data integrity and health to inform business decision making.Guide project personnel and key business stakeholders in the development of key strategic initiatives and provide effective means for reporting upon execution.Qualifications / Training Required
5+ years in a customer-facing sales/technical sales role with a track record of converting opportunity to recurring, profitable revenueDemonstrated ability to lead a team of indirect reports to deliver strategic business projectsStrong financial acumenStrong knowledge of Microsoft software with a particular focus on excel data analysisDegree qualified in a relevant technical disciplineAccountable and transparentDemonstrable ability to lead and influence high-performing teamsExcellent communication, presentation, and delivery skillsUp to 30 - 50% travel required
