Department : Employee Benefits | Reporting Manager: Director of Employee Benefits Operations | FLSA Status: Exempt
Location : Tampa (hybrid office scenario)
Position Summary: The Employee Benefits Account Executive is responsible for managing client relationships, ensuring their needs are met efficiently and effectively. This role organizes and delivers key client materials such as monthly data, renewal details, and explores alternative coverage options to provide clients with the best possible solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the client partnership calendar, including onboarding new clients, handling renewals, processing compliance alerts and updates, filing 5500s, managing plan documentation (SPDs, SBCs, Wrap Documents, certificates of insurance, policies), and overseeing Open Enrollment preparation and execution.Prepare and present client-facing materials, including claim experience reports, benchmarking, rate renewals, plan design alternatives, contribution modeling, and renewal recommendations.Oversee all policy aspects of assigned accounts.Maintain regular, professional, and proactive communication with clients, setting clear expectations and managing ongoing needs.Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and thoroughness when interacting with clients, insurance partners, and internal teams, utilizing strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Address client inquiries by working with insurance carriers or internal teams to resolve issues efficiently.Conduct enrollment meetings with prepared materials as needed.Review existing lines of business to assess potential additions, seeking proposals from carriers that best meet client needs.Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and insurance carriers/vendors.Desired Education, Skills, and Experience:
Hold a valid 2-15 state insurance license, as required by the State Department of Insurance.Bachelor's degree preferred, with 5+ years of related experience.Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn additional software systems as needed.Strong presentation skills with clear verbal and written communication.Other:
