The OSP Clinical Program Specialist will assume a leadership role in areas of professional practice, staff development, education, program development, and quality management. They will work in collaboration with the program Medical Directors, Director of Nursing, Director of Orthopedic and interdisciplinary teams. They will be responsible to coordinate and continuously improve performance and clinical outcomes to achieve identified certifications.Job Description:Key Accountabilities Responsible for implementation and oversight of recognized certification programs for Orthopedic Surgeries and Surgical Spine, including monitoring of key performance measures associated with the programs.Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to perform ongoing evaluation of the delivery of care and patient satisfaction.Leads performance improvement initiatives and assists in developing and refining clinical pathways to improve patient outcomes.Facilitates a seamless transition of care throughout the continuum, in collaboration with all stakeholders, by ensuring materials are standardized and consistent, including but not limited to order sets, clinical pathways, and patient education.A strategic partner with marketing and outreach to enhance access to ThedaCare Orthopedics by conducting community education seminars in targeted outreach areas to increase awareness and grow market share.Consults key clinicians on specialized care plans and multidisciplinary assessments as a liaison between staff, patients and physicians.Responsible for oversight of facility safety incidents including investigation, trending and reporting.Supports system accreditation activities and other quality initiativesQualificationsEducation: Bachelors of Science - NursingMaster Degree in Healthcare, Nursing, Leadership or Quality requiredExperience: 3 years of total experience in orthopedics with at least 1 year of acute care experience.Certifications: BLS for Healthcare; Orthopedic Nurse Certification (ANCC) within 1 year of hireLicensure: State of Wisconsin Registered NursePhysical DemandsAbility to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of twenty-five (25) pounds without assistanceJob classification is exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job dutiesWork EnvironmentNormally works in climate-controlled office environmentFrequent sitting with movement throughout office spaceFrequent exposure to sharp objects and instrumentsOccasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.
