Summary:
The Forklift Driver will be responsible for the accurate distribution of product to and from the warehouse by pulling orders from inventory; delivering production material and supplies; staging finished product.
Key Responsibilities:
Efficiently and safely drive conventional electric fork truck in a potentially hazardous environment ( wet , sloped floors , heavy pedestrian traffic)The issue of raw materials to operations while accurately completing all required documentation and maintaining inventory and slot accuracyReturn raw materials from operations to the warehouse while accurately completing all required documentation and maintaining inventory and slot accuracyPrompt receiving (unloading) of raw materials while accurately completing all required documentation and maintaining inventory and slot accuracyPrompt shipping (loading) of finished goods while accurately completing all required documentation and maintaining inventory and slot accuracyComplete paperwork, including but not limited to, safety, schedule list and reworkDaily safety and maintenance check for vehicleOther duties as assigned by supervisorKey Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalentExperience in the food industry preferredForklift certification preferred1 to 3 months experience in forklift operationAbility to lift, push or pull items weighing up to 50lbs on a regular basisWhile performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to both dry and frozen warehouse conditionsAbility to perform all physical aspects of the position, such as bending, lifting, standing, squatting, climbing, pulling, pushing and walkingAbility to function as a team member and get along with othersAbility to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude
