Responsibilities:
Prepare income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates, not-for-profit organizations and retirement plans.Assists associate and staff accountants with general tax return problems.Work closely with all partners and staff.Direct contact with clients in a variety of industries.Prepare payroll tax and sales tax returns. Also prepare and analyze tax planning projections.Quantify and document federal and state income tax liabilities for tax returns, extensions and estimated payments.Perform research on technical tax issues. Respond to client inquiries and taxing authority notices.Keep up to date on current accounting practices and changes in tax laws.Ensure confidentiality of the firm and clients.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accountingValid license as a Florida Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or in the process of completing requirements for licensure2+ years of experience in public accounting with the demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationshipsExcellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills including expertise with US GAAP Proficiency with computer tax preparation, research, and planning software programsBe detail-orientedBe able to balance multiple tasks at once while demonstrating good time managementAbility to work independentlyHave excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
