As a
Data Center Technician
you will:Rack and stack servers in a data center environmentRun, connect and dress Ethernet cable bundles for newly deployed systemsReplace failed fans, motherboards, CPUs, hard drives, DIMMs, cache batteries and related server hardwareUpgrade system firmware and software as neededWork closely with application teams for daily support issues, break/fix issues and scheduled maintenanceConfiguration of OS and Network in Unix/Linux environmentTroubleshoot Cat6 Ethernet and Fiber Optic connectionsUtilize hand tools to assemble cabinets and install related hardwareData Center Technician
candidates must meet the following requirements for consideration:
1 year+ experience working with Ethernet or fiber cables1 year+ experience working with structured cabling, terminating, or dressing Ethernet cables1 year+ experience troubleshooting computer hardware like HDDs, DIMMs, CPUs and physical network connections1 year+ experience working with rack mounted network switches/routers and serversBasic-level experience working with Linux or Unix command lineAbility to perform repetitive tasks, stand throughout an 8-hour shift, and lift/move up to 50 lbs. of equipment as neededExperience with the following is a
plus :
Previous work in a Data Center environment with 1000+ serversKnowledge of Cat6 and/or fiber networking standardsMulti-meter and oscilloscopeNetworking or computer certificationsHardware installation

Pay Rate: $29.50 per hour
