Job Purpose
The Deskside Support Specialist provides a single point of contact for end-users to receive support and maintenance within the organization's desktop computing environment. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all PC and Laptop hardware/equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance. Troubleshoots problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via e-mail) in a timely and accurate fashion and provides end-user assistance where required.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
Basic troubleshooting of software & hardwareDeploy & retire hardwareCarry out assigned project tasksUtilize asset report data to remediate reporting issuesOther duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills & Abilities
Mac OS and iOSVerbal CommunicationMicrosoft Office SuiteWritten CommunicationLaptop, Desktop and Printer HardwareAbility to document time spentMicrosoft Windows 7 and upFollow written procedureBasic DOS commandsFollow verbal instructionAbility to lift 50lbsBasic understanding of virtual environmentsWork both independently and part of a teamCustomer Oriented
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
