The Opportunity
As a Technical Services Manager, you will guarantee and drive the collective performance of the Site's mechanical, electrical, maintenance, energy and reliability processes. You and your Team's efforts are critical in helping the Site achieve their business results. You will manage and mentor managers, engineers, reliability experts and highly trained wage technicians that have responsibility for meeting safety, quality and delivery targets within the Site.
Furthermore, the position will be part of an accelerated development program with a goal of positioning the new leader to grow quickly within the organization. We are expecting this passionate leader to gain experience and rapidly promote into higher level manufacturing operations roles within the company to include Plant Manager and beyond. Therefore, we need this person to be relocatable to most of our US locations. You may also have the opportunity to take part in a global rotation assignment for a short time for development within Group Michelin.

What You Will Do:
- Lead a team of up to 100 indirect reports with supporting salaried support staff in a manufacturing facility in a 24 hour/day, 7 day/week operation
- Supervise and lead daily performance and set mid/long term strategic direction for reliability and maintenance functions for the Site.
- Establish and lead the budget for technical services within the site
- Mentor your team and develop futures leaders within the company
- Demonstrate passion for continuous improvement in safety, production, compliance, maintenance, housekeeping, employee development/mentorship
- Provide team communication on company, plant, and department business plan objectives and performance
What You Will Bring:
- BS in engineering or equivalent is required. An MBA is helpful.
- At least 5 to 10 years of dynamic management responsibility in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a technical services function.
- The ability to learn quickly
- Outstanding judgment and ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced, multifaceted setting.
- Analytical problem-solving skills with an outstanding attention to detail
- Strategic vision with the ability to implement
- Impeccable leadership presence that empowers and influences others positively
- Curious, dynamic and willing to challenge self and others to higher levels of performance
- Great organizational change skills
- We are targeting Tuscaloosa, AL for your initial assignment.
- Be geographically mobile to most Michelin sites within the US region. (South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Kentucky, Kansas, Iowa and Indiana).
- Be open to relocate internationally for a potential short term assignment in the future
