The QA/QC Director is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of a comprehensive quality assurance and quality control program across the military housing portfolio. This role ensures that all work order processes and standards consistently meet the highest levels of quality, compliance, and operational excellence. The QA/QC Director is a key driver of continuous improvement, standardization, and training, ensuring that all work orders comply with both internal policies and external regulatory requirements. They will also monitor EUR (Emergency, Urgent and Routine) and GVI (Gas Venting Inspections) of work orders, reporting findings to Senior Leadership to ensure full compliance and drive accountability. This is a remote position.
What you'll be doing
Creation , Implementation and continuous improvement of a comprehensive QA/QC programEstablish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and improve performance.Ensure quality assurance and control processes are integrated into all work order procedures and operationsMonitor and review EUR work orders and GVI for quality and compliance.Conduct regular audits and inspections of work order processes, identify gaps or deficiencies in process or executionCompile and analyze inspection findings, providing detailed reports to Senior Leadership to highlight compliance levels and any areas needing corrective action.Ensure timely and accurate documentation of findings and track resolutions to ensure accountability.Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing quality and efficiency across work order management.Lead efforts to standardize processes and procedures across multiple installations to ensure a unform approach to quality control.Develop and implement training programs to ensure that staff at all levels are educated on QA/QC processes, policies, and compliance standards.Update polices and procedures as required.Work closely with leadership to identify and address any gaps in training and skill development.Ensure compliance with both internal standards and external regulations, particularly in areas of safety and operational protocols.Stay updated on relevant regulations and guidelines to ensure that the organization remains compliant.Work collaboratively with Regional Facility Directors, Facility Directors, Maintenance Managers, and other leaders to ensure alignment of quality assurance efforts with operational goals.Serve as a liaison between QA/QC initiatives and other departments, providing guidance and support where needed.Typical Physical Demands:
Regularly use hands to manipulate tools, equipment, supplies, and office equipment. Frequently stand, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, and stoop. Sit and stand to do clerical work. Regularly lift and move equipment and supplies up to 75 lbs.
Typical Work Conditions:
Work is performed in a maintenance/office/residential home environment. Employee frequently interacts directly with other staff members, contractors as well as residents during the workday.
Who we're looking for
High school Diploma or GED Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Facilities Management, or a related field preferred Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g. Six Sigma, PMP, etc.) are a plus.HVAC certification requiredCertificate for CO2 analyzer and Gas Detectors or ability to complete course within 90 days of employment.Combustible gas indicator Certification or ability to complete course within 90 days of employment.Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in QA/QC, preferably within in facilities management, construction, or military housing sectorsSolid Computer Skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and adept at learning additional softwareDemonstrated strong customer service skillsDemonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.Possession of a valid state issued Driver's License and safe driving record is required.
