As a Staff Engineer, you will play a critical role in the architecture, design, and development of this platform, bringing advanced AI and machine learning techniques into the heart of our marketing processes.Position ResponsibilitiesScope, design, and build scalable, resilient distributed systemsBuild product definition and leverage your technical skills to drive towards the right solutionEngage in cross-functional collaboration throughout the entire software lifecycleLead design sessions and code reviews with peers to elevate the quality of engineering across the organizationDefine, create, and support reusable application components/patterns from a business and technology perspectiveUtilize programming languages like JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, C#, Python, and Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of Azure tools and services across the software development life cycle (task management, source code, building, deployment, operations, real-time communication) to perform advanced-level Java application design under minimal directionMentor other engineersConsistently share best practices and improve processes within and across teamsQualifications:Strong UI/UX and prototype design knowledge and experienceExperience with Content Management, including implementation solution design and processing rule setFluency with HTML5, React, Redux, JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS, JSON, RESTful Web Services, NodeJS, Cassandra and Event Driven ArchitecturesStrong Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.) platform knowledgeFamiliar with Project Management and work item management tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRAExemplary ability to design, perform experiments, and influence engineering direction and product roadmapExperience partnering with engineering teams and transferring research to productionExperience with continuous delivery and infrastructure as codeIn-depth knowledge of CS data structures and algorithmsExperience solving analytical problems with quantitative approachesAbility to excel in a fast-paced, startup-like environmentKnowledge of developer tooling across the software development life cycle (task management, source code, building, deployment, operations, real-time communication)Fluency and Specialization with modern languages such as Java, Python including object-oriented designExperience with Micro-services oriented architecture and extensible REST APIsExperience with AI/ML and data driven integration with backendExperience building the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systemsFluency in DevOps Concepts, Cloud Architecture, and Azure DevOps Operational FrameworkExperience with application monitoring tools and performance assessmentsExperience in security protocols and products: Understanding of Active Directory, Windows Authentication, SAML, OAuthExperience:6+ years of professional software development experience within Web frameworks/SDKs/languages4+ years of experience with architecture and design4+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service3+ years of experience in open-source frameworksEducation:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent educationAnnual Salary$115,000.00 - $230,000.00. The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate.
