Java Developer

ResponsibilitiesPeraton is seeking a Java Developer to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. The qualified applicant will support our team of developers building the next generation of customer engagement systems for federal service agencies.
Required to be local to Colorado Springs area. This is a hybrid role and requires to be on-site in the Colorado Springs office 4 times per month.
Day to Day Work Responsibilities:
Build web and back-end applications/services for credentialing/case management system.
Use Java/Spring based REST APIs along with a Web 2.0 framework and a continuous integration environment.
Develop, create, and modify software applications or specialized utility programs.
Analyze user needs and develop software solutions.
Design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.
Work with customers to obtain and formalize new and changing requirements.
Incorporate third party open source tools where appropriate.
Complete coding tasks (with assistance as needed) at a professional level.
Identify areas that require refactoring.
Write both technical and non-technical documentation.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years' experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 9 years' experience.
US Citizenship required (no dual citizenship).
Must have a Secret clearance.
2 years' of Java development experience in order to build enterprise applications.
2 years' experience with using Java development tools (e.g. Eclipse, JUnit, Git).
1 year of recent experience developing and implementing software solutions using one or more of the following:
AngularJS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and Java.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a large scale Federal IT Program.
Experience with SAFe Agile delivery framework.
Target Salary Range$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
