This pivotal role is essential in driving the company's transformation from a development firm to a leading independent power producer (IPP). The Director will oversee hands-on development from inception to commercial operation, collaborating closely with executive leadership on strategic initiatives, securing real estate rights, nurturing stakeholder relationships, and managing project budgets and timelines.The ideal candidate should possess at least 12 years of comprehensive development experience in utility-scale wind projects, demonstrating a successful track record in managing complex initiatives and showcasing strong team leadership. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, with a Master's degree preferred. An in-depth understanding of the renewable energy sector, particularly in wind and solar energy, is crucial. Experience working on projects within specific energy market regions and proven skills in managing external stakeholders and permitting activities are essential.The Director of Wind Project Development should have a robust network of relationships with landowners and local stakeholders, alongside the capability to prepare project budgets, schedules, and RFP responses.
