Position Summary The Salvation Army Austin Corps is "doing the most good" by providing holistic, person-centered services to individuals and families in need. In addition to worship services and pastoral care, services include short and long-term case management; food, clothing, utility, rent, and housing support; and connections to community partners. The Driver is responsible for transporting donations and supplies using The Salvation Army's box truck. $12.24 - $15.00/hour 25 hours/week 409 First Ave NE, Austin, MN 55912 Essential Functions (approximate time spent) Load, unload, and transport food and donations. (90%) Maintain vehicle fleet, including cleaning and scheduling maintenance. (5%) Assist with special/seasonal events, including room set up, driving supplies, etc. (5%) Education and Experience High School diploma or equivalent required. Two years of custodial experience. Must possess a valid driver's license, possess a DOT Medical Examiners Certificate, and meet MVR requirements. Pass background checks. Competencies Flexible interpersonal and communication skills. Works with integrity, valuing honesty and dignity. Adhere to safety protocols and vehicle regulations. Working Conditions Regular physical work and driving. Must be able to regularly lift 50 pounds and lift 75 pounds occasionally. Professional environment; not eligible for a remote-friendly work environment. Must be able to sit and stand for reasonable periods. Must be able to communicate clearly with colleagues, volunteers, and participants. Supervisory Responsibilities None. Driving/Travel Requirements Regular local driving by agency vehicle. Rare out-of-area travel.
