Client Leadership & Account Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for senior leaders in higher education institutions. Lead multiple accounts, ensuring that client needs are understood, developing and writing strategic plans, crafting client communications, and producing key deliverables timely and within scope.Strategic Counsel & Thought Leadership:
Provide high-level counsel and guidance to clients on a variety of topics, including institutional positioning, leadership communications, and public relations strategies. Demonstrate thought leadership in the higher education space, helping clients navigate challenges and capitalize on opportunities.Crisis Management & Issue Response:
Act as a trusted advisor to clients undergoing crises, providing clear and effective communications strategies. Guide clients through difficult situations, managing risk and reputation while ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.Team Leadership & Collaboration:
Lead internal teams, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment that drives high performance. Mentor and develop staff, ensuring consistent delivery of quality services to clients.Strategic Planning & Implementation:
Develop and execute strategic communication plans for clients, addressing both short-term objectives and long-term goals. Implement tactical plans that deliver measurable results aligned with client objectives.Business Development & Growth:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the higher education sector. Build and maintain strong client relationships, contributing to the overall growth of RW Jones.What You Offer:
Qualifications:Proven experience in leading client accounts, specifically within the higher education sector.Demonstrated ability to guide and advise senior leaders in higher education.Expertise in crisis management and providing counsel during high-stakes situations.Excellent leadership and team management skills.Ability to translate complex challenges into actionable communication strategies.Superior written and verbal communication skills.Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred.Required Skills:Minimum of 10 years of experience in higher education communications, public relations, or a related field.Previous experience working with or advising C-suite executives in the education sector.Experience leading teams and managing multiple client accounts simultaneously.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.What We Offer:
