As part of this role, you will answer patient calls, schedule patient appointments, and complete some precertification and verification tasks.What You’ll Do:Provide outstanding customer service to all patientsPerform insurance verification and prior authorizationsEducate patients on insurance coverage limits and optionsWork closely with the billing and other departments providing servicesCollect deposits and co-paysOther duties as assigned by supervisorWhy You’ll Excel in This Role:You have knowledge of primary and secondary coordination of benefitsYou are familiar with CPT and ICD-10You have the ability to work in a fast-paced environmentYou have keen organization skillsYou have strong communication and interpersonal skills and an investigative natureYou are a reliable self-starter who embraces professionalism and learningYou are efficient, accurate, and detail-orientedRequired Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalentSix months of customer service experiencePreferred Qualifications:One year of customer service experience in a medical settingExposure to medical billing and/or pre-certification tasksAt OPA, you will enjoy opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative environment and exposure to a full range of orthopedic care with orthopedic, injury walk-in, and rheumatology clinics, an imaging center, athletic training and physical, occupational, and massage therapy.Learn more about Orthopedic Physicians Alaska at
