DescriptionPosition OverviewSAIC is looking for an experienced Data Applications Security Specialist (Master) to join our team. This position supports U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Targeting and Analysis Systems Program Directorate (TASPD) in Northern Virginia and CBP locations throughout the United States. The position serves as Data Applications Security Specialist using targeting and analysis systems and providing multifaceted analysis, real-time collaboration, training, and mentoring in support of CBP intelligence and law enforcement operations.Responsibilities:Participating with senior leaders to establish strategic plans and objectives.Applying advanced technical concepts with law enforcement and intelligence principles to support law enforcement and intelligence objectives and goals.Creating actionable intelligence based on extrapolated data, research, and analysis.Conducting data mining and analyzing information by using databases, applications, and services developed, operated, and maintained by TASPD.Aggregating and analyzing tactical information in conjunction with other resources to detect and identify threats entering the U.S. and disseminate that information to CBP frontline officers and agents in real time.Training and mentoring CBP frontline officers, agents, and analysts in using TASPD data, applications, and services to maximize investigative and intelligence outcomes.Researching, analyzing, and reporting on investigative and intelligence operations to enhance TASPD data, applications, and services.Collaborating with TASPD engineering teams deploying new application features and enhancements to accelerate mission capabilities for CBP frontline officers and agents.Participating in TASPD software engineering lifecycle by providing operational expertise and interpretation in designing, developing, testing, and deploying new and enhanced capability for CBP frontline officers, agents, and analysts.Travel Required : Occasional travel – overnight travel may be required on a regular and recurring basis.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree and 14+ years of experience; degree may be substituted for equivalent years of experience.Researching and analyzing information supporting immigration and customs law enforcement and intelligence activities.Evaluating and interpreting information from government and commercial sources supporting immigration and customs law enforcement and intelligence activities.Designing, assembling, and organizing data from multiple internal and external databases and information systems for actionable intelligence.Utilizing government and commercial systems and tools to provide actionable and timely intelligence supporting law enforcement missions.Collecting, researching, analyzing, interpreting, and evaluating data and information to make appropriate recommendations for new and enhanced mission capabilities.Preparing reports and technical information.Training and mentoring law enforcement and intelligence operators by applying data, applications, and services to accomplish strategic and tactical objectives.Collaborating with multifaceted people and teams in providing solutions and actionable intelligence supporting law enforcement and intelligence operations.Leading law enforcement and technical teams in developing, delivering, and implementing technical solutions to streamline processes and enhance mission outcomes.Designing, integrating, and implementing immigration and customs technical solutions to streamline and enhance enforcement actions with a focus on extending mission capabilities using mobile and remote technologies.Demonstrating and applying a strong understanding of federal regulations and security protocols supporting law enforcement and intelligence operations.Requirements - Conditions of Employment : As an employee of SAIC supporting CBP, you will be joining a workforce that is dedicated to accomplishing mission objectives while maintaining the trust of our Nation by strictly adhering to ethics standards and:Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust with CBP.Must have maintained primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years.Must pass a required CBP Background Investigation to obtain a public trust clearance.Must have the ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret clearance.
