Join us! The GoFundMe team is searching for a dynamic Senior Tax Manager to join our global tax department! This individual will report into the Head of Global Tax and play a key role in partnering with the Senior Tax Associate to drive all direct and indirect tax processes and initiatives. There will be many opportunities for cross-functional exposure on projects both within finance and across other areas of the business including product & technology, legal, treasury, corporate development, go-to-market, and public affairs.

The Job…

Oversee and assist with the in-house preparation of the annual and quarterly global income tax provisions

Help continue to identify opportunities to optimize the global tax accounting, compliance, and cash-tax forecasting processes

Coordinate and review outsourced direct and indirect returns for US domestic and foreign jurisdictions

Assist with ongoing analyses, maintenance and documentation of global tax nexus positions and transfer pricing methodologies

Involvement in due diligence, tax structuring and planning efforts related to both M&A and organic business expansion

Help monitor, assess and implement the impact of global tax law and accounting literature developments

Assist with US domestic and foreign direct and indirect tax audit defense

Help coordinate and manage the US domestic R&D tax credit process

Help maintain the global tax filing and process calendar

Assist with documentation and maintenance of global tax department policies and procedures

You…

8+ years of corporate tax accounting and compliance experience

BA/BBA/BS in Accounting, Finance or business-related field is required

Deep understanding of income tax provisions

Ability to perform tax technical and accounting research independently

Experience working effectively with all levels of an organization from clerical staff to executives, managing relationships with external parties, and developing staff

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities and deadlines, and proactively drive results

Preferred…

Experience serving multinational corporations

US CPA + Big 4 public accounting experience

Purchase accounting experience

Experience with US sales tax and/or foreign VAT/GST

Public-company experience

Working knowledge of NetSuite or a comparable ERP system

The total annual salary for this full-time position is $162,000 - $220,000 + equity + benefits. As this is a remote position, the salary range was determined by role, level, and possible location across the US. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
