This role may be located at our Muscatine, Iowa HQ or our Chicago, Illinois location. This is a hybrid work eligible role.The Senior Category Merchandising Manager - eCommerce and Transactional will oversee a dynamic team aligning resources with company goals and driving the success of HNI's retail strategies. This role will provide strategic leadership throughout the transactional sales cycle, ensuring alignment with market demands, operational requirements, and organizational goals.What You Will Do:Develop and execute the overall category merchandising strategy for eCommerce and Transactional businesses.Build and implement product assortments for online and transactional channels, ensuring alignment with customer demand, seasonal trends, and business goals.Lead the creation of retail pricing and promotional strategies that balance sales growth with margin requirements.Track and analyze category performance, including sales, margin, inventory levels, and customer engagement metrics.Identify gaps in the product assortment and collaborate with supply chain and operations partners to ensure timely availability of in-demand products.Compile and analyze multiple external data sources to understand market trends.Communicate effectively with senior and executive leadership, presenting assortment strategies, performance metrics and inventory optimization.Create forecasting tools and reports to ensure capacity plans are in place to support customer demand.Lead and mentor a team of category and assortment managers, providing guidance on assortment selection promotional strategy, and sales forecasting.What You Have:Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Analytics, Marketing, Business Administration or related field required, Master's degree is preferred.At least three years of category, merchandising, finance, or related field experience is required, five or more preferred.HNI Corporation(NYSE: HNI) is a manufacturer of workplace furnishings and building products, operating under two segments.
