If yes, then you may be a great fit to join the Business Intelligence team within Defect Prevention and Reconciliation (DP&R).We are looking for a Business Intelligence Manager to lead a team of business intelligence engineers to deliver insights and analysis across our product portfolio. You will own metrics, dashboarding and measurement across platforms and products. This role requires an individual with excellent analytical abilities as well as an outstanding business acumen. The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, who has a strong attention to detail, and enjoys working with large-scale data.Your work will directly influence Amazon business and customer promise.Key job responsibilities- Manage and lead a team of Business Intelligence Engineers and own organization wide analytical solutions including metrics, attributions etc.- Work with in-house scientists, product management, engineering, and business teams to identify new BI capabilities and projects- Contribute to the design, implementation, and delivery of BI solutions for complex and ambiguous problems- Analyze and solve problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context.- Use data mining, model building, and other analytical techniques to develop and maintain customer segmentation and predictive models to drive the business.- Identify opportunities and key criteria to drive analytical reporting and business strategy- Produce written recommendations and insights for key stakeholders that will help shape effective metric development and reporting- Simplify and automate reporting, audits, and other data-driven activities- Develop and drive best practices in data integrity, consistency, analysis, validations, and documentation- Learn new technology and techniques to meaningfully support product and process innovationAbout the teamThe Defect Prevention and Reconciliation (DP&R) organization builds innovative technical products that recognize, reconcile, and prevent exceptions within Amazons end-to-end supply chain. We are the critical component for Amazon Supply Chain businesses that cater to merchants selling on Amazon (FBA) and off-Amazon: Amazon Global Logistics, Fulfillment, Warehousing&Distribution (AWD), Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF), and Buy With Prime. We are building a future where we capture, analyze, and explain every inventory defect across all stages of the supply chain (i.e. inbound, distribution, storage, fulfillment, and returns).Basic Qualifications- 7+ years of business intelligence and analytics experience- 5+ years of delivering results managing a business intelligence or analytics team, including employee development and performance management experience- Experience with SQL- Experience with ETL- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools- Experience with R, Python, Weka, SAS, Matlab or other statistical/machine learning softwarePreferred Qualifications- 4+ years of working with very large data warehousing environment experience- 10+ years of data warehouse technical architectures, data modeling, infrastructure components, ETL/ ELT and reporting/analytic tools and environments, data structures and hands-on SQL coding experienceAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
