Position Summary

The Director of Enterprise Data and Business Intelligence is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the organization's data architecture, analytics, and business intelligence functions. This individual will lead a team of data professionals to ensure the effective collection, management, and utilization of data to drive business insights and decision-making across the organization. The Director will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement a data strategy that aligns with business objectives and enables data-driven decisions.

Duties and Responsibilities:Data Strategy & Leadership :

Define and execute the overall data strategy for the organization, ensuring alignment with business objectives and goals.Lead the Enterprise Data and Business Intelligence team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of data architecture and business intelligence solutions.

Data Architecture & Management:

Oversee the design, implementation, and management of the organization's data infrastructure, including data lakes, warehouses, and integration platforms.Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance standards are met and maintained.Establish and enforce best practices for data management, including data stewardship, data lineage, and data security protocols.

Business Intelligence & Analytics:

Lead the development and enhancement of business intelligence dashboards and reporting solutions to provide real-time, actionable insights.Drive the organization's analytics capabilities by leveraging data visualization, machine learning, and advanced analytics techniques to solve business challenges.Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and prioritize business intelligence initiatives that will have the greatest impact on operational efficiency and business growth.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Partner with business leaders and teams (e.g., Marketing, Finance, Operations) to ensure that data and analytics initiatives are aligned with business needs.Serve as a trusted advisor on data and analytics strategies, translating business requirements into technical solutions.Work closely with IT and security teams to ensure the proper integration and protection of data assets.

Team Development & Leadership:

Build and mentor a high-performing team of data engineers/scientists/analysts and BI professionals.Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and support the professional growth and development of team members.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.8+ years of experience in data management, analytics, and business intelligence, with a proven track record of leading data initiatives at an enterprise level.Leverage expertise in Snowflake to design, implement, and optimize scalable data solutions for enterprise-level analytics and reporting.Strong technical expertise in data architecture, database management (SQL, NoSQL), ETL processes, and data integration.Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and advanced analytics techniques.Excellent leadership and team management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.Strong understanding of data governance, compliance, and security best practices.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate complex data concepts for business stakeholders.Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time as the job is completed primarily at a desk each day. Variable desk heights are offered so alternatively sitting and/or standing at the desk is optional.Flexibility to work extended and varying hours as needed.Travel:

Up to 10% of travel (as needed) to meet store opening dates, refresh dates, or to address technical outages.
