The PositionInventory Consignment Specialist
Job Summary
Summary:
This position is responsible for all activities associated with the creation, analysis, audit and reconciliation of inventory requests. This role will create and support existing and new customer implementations via EDI, AX and SAP. Develop and implement a process to ensure that the requirements of Imerys business plans are met. This position must also meet the inventory objectives of Imerys and its offsite warehouses while maintaining profitable company inventory levels and inventory turns to meet required customer service levels. Key customer contact to reconcile inventory, support cash collections and manage the order to cash process.
Duties & Responsibilities:The Inventory Consignment Specialist is an integral part of a cross-functional business team that manages a set of joint objectives including inventory turns, overstock, customer service levels and profitabilityKeep an accurate and up-to-date count of all active inventoryParticipate in the scheduling and organizing of yearly physical inventory to validate count of goods and materialsDevelop and implement processes to support Imerys' business objectives and promote an improve customer experienceWork collaboratively with internal customers and teams to ensure operational efficiencies and work towards performance excellence. Report any discrepancies found during processes and quarterly auditsWorking closely with the sales team to avoid aging orders, obsolete inventory and cancellationsUtilize basic problem-solving techniques to improve supply chain processesMonthly SAP/ERP reporting of onhand and system inventoryTrain and develop new employees on the inventory system and processesRequired Skills:
Strong commitment to customer/client satisfactionAbility to perform with ease multiple tasks and manage time effectivelyAbility to effectively communicate in a professional mannerMust possess excellent organization skills, pronounced judgment and decision-making abilities and be able to maintain confidentiality of informationAbility to demonstrate strong organizational and problem- solving skills required and strong interpersonal relationship building skillsKnowledge of SAP, ERP, Salesforce and Google SuitesRequirements of the position:
Travel will be required, ~20% Domestic travelBachelor's Degree and/or equivalent 3 plus years of work experienceDemonstrated experience with inventory consignment management
Pay Scale: $65,000 to $70,000
