Description:You will be the Subcontract Management Staff supporting the Guided Multiple Launch Rocket Program. You will contribute to managing the key procurement processes from proposals through contract set up (including terms and conditions), and supplier performance, and cost management.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Subcontract Manager Staff, you will be responsible for the subcontract management of supplier cost, schedule and technical performance. Your responsibilities will include:Manage the procurement cycle from proposal to purchase order to payment of invoiceCoordinate with operations and production to set priorities and time-linesRequests for proposal, source selection, and subcontract awardNegotiate pricing, contractual terms, and lead timesManage supplier relationships and performance issuesControl costs and perform price analysisMaintain accuracy of purchasing documents and data including procurement filesSupports and leads cost reduction initiatives, change activity, and program meetingsComply with all applicable FARS / DFARS and company policiesOther tasks and duties as assigned by management including but not limited to visits to critical path suppliers, presentations to management, and written status reportingTravel is required twice per quarter
This position requires the ability and initiative to interface with internal partners to solve problems and ensure procured materials and services are acquired in compliance with established procedures and supporting the needs of internal customers. Must have ability to interface effectively with suppliers to achieve desired program objectives as well as Sr. Management. A successful candidate will have effective communication and organizational skills.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.Basic Qualifications:Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
Must have the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
Knowledge of acquisition policies and procedures such as FAR / DFAR
Working knowledge of standard contract types
Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Detail and teamwork oriented with demonstrated organizational skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Demonstrated communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
Demonstrated problem solving skills, business acumen and ability to make business based decisions
Ability to work independently and in a team environmentDesired Skills:Experience managing complex subcontracts
Experience with the procurement of specialized materials, complex assemblies, and equipment within Defense industry
Experience with LM Procure to Pay (P2P) and SC NavigatorSecurity Clearance Statement:
