Inpatient and Outpatient Phlebotomist

Employment Type:Part timeShift:Description:Job Title: Phlebotomist (Lab Tech) Department: Lab Location: Trinity Health Livingston HospitalHours: Contingent, must work a minimum of 1 shift per monthShift: DaysMinimum rate of pay: $17.04Outpatient Lab hours are M-F 7am-6pm and Saturday 7am-12pm. This position will support some Inpatient blood draws during early mornings and weekends.Training schedule will be full time 1-2 weeks.Performs phlebotomy, specimen receipt, processing, specimen distribution, computer order entry and/or requisition completion, and other pre-analytical tasks as required. Tracks specimens through appropriate computer functions when available, to ensure that all specimens are routed accurately and in a timely manner. Assures complete and accurate patient samples, patient demographics, and diagnosis codes are provided, and submits to the laboratory for testing. Required Qualifications: Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of phlebotomy, medical assistant or patient care technician training.Experience Previous phlebotomy experience preferred if formal training and certification as a phlebotomist is not obtained.Total Rewards and Benefits: Competitive compensation, DAILYPAYBenefits effective Day One! Aliquots and adjusts pH of 24-hour urine specimens as required by location.Follows test cancellation policy and completes follow-up tasks as needed.
