Job/Position DescriptionThe role of a Family Based Safety Services supervisor is a fast-paced, high energy position requiring daily assessment and decision-making of child safety issues, and permanency. One must possess the initiative to independently organize and manage numerous tasks associated with the position. The FBSS supervisor must ensure that cases are transferred to FBSS in accordance with policy. FBSS supervisors attend case staffingand#146;s (transfer, legal, etc) and provide recommended next steps. They assist staff with determining child safety associated with Parental Child Safety Placements and family reunification. They ensure documentation around these decisions is thorough and concise. FBSS supervisors ensure safety plans are individualized and associated with immediate child safety. The ensure service plans are individualized and associated with treatment or services to enhance protective capacities.
