Provide primary managerial direction of direct report staff (OFCCP Compliance Specialist) and ensure necessary outcomes are achieved (e.g., timely preparation and certification of Affirmative Action Plan, EEO-1 reporting, Veterans and Pay Data Reporting).
Ensure Compliance with law and draft and negotiate employment-related agreements:
Stay current with changes in employment laws and regulations throughout the Americas and ensure compliance with those laws and regulations.Conduct legal research and analysis on complex employment law issues and provide recommendations based on findings.Draft, review, and negotiate employment and benefit-related agreements, including executive employment agreements and severance agreements.Draft updates of Employment Handbooks in US and Canada.
Manage employment-related litigation and administrative proceedings:
Represent the company in employment-related litigation, arbitration, and administrative proceedings throughout the Americas.Supervise outside labor and employment counsel throughout the Americas.Manage discovery process.
Manage responses to inquiries by state, federal and local administrative agencies:
Manage and coordinate Company's response to inquiries and investigations by the Department of Labor, EEOC, or other state or federal agencies, including agencies throughout the Americas.Review and respond to claims and demand letters, primarily employee or commercial real estate related.
Manage real estate leases and counsel on general real estate matters:
Conduct legal research and prepare, review, and revise commercial real estate contracts.Provide counsel on real estate matters.
About the ideal candidate:JD from an accredited law school in the United States requiredMinimum of 3-5 years’ work experience in providing expert legal advice and support on a wide range of employment law mattersExperience with commercial real estate law is a plusKnowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to travel 10% of the timeKnowledge of employment laws and regulations throughout the AmericasPrevious experience in performing legal research using critical thinking, analytical skills, and attention to detailThe ability to assess risks associated with business activities and advise a company on managing those risksAdvanced communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and build consensus with a variety of stakeholdersAbility to work Part Time 24-32 hrs. a weekThe position can be located in Dallas or Miami (Dallas preferred)Working at Amadeus, you will find:A critical mission and purpose:
