Professional - ClinicalReq #: 1387(Eligible for $20,000 Sign on Bonus paid out in three installments, prorated for Part Time) Current MaineHealth employees not eligible for the sign on bonus. Must be separated from MaineHealth system for 6 months to be eligible.Summary:The Respiratory Therapist role is responsible for administering or assisting with diagnostic testing and studies of the cardiopulmonary system, neurophysiological studies and sleep disorder studies. Performs respiratory therapy procedures in the outpatient practice, such as, pulse oximetry, oxygen therapy, PPD testing, nebulizer treatments, and six minute walks, etc.Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
1. Education: Graduate of an AMA approved program in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent is required.2. License/Certifications: Current Maine license as Respiratory Therapist and an RRT from NBRC required. Current BLS certification required. Current ACLS, PALS and NRP Certifications required or must obtain within one year of start date or according to department guidelines.3. Experience: Three years of work experience in Respiratory Care preferred.4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: N/AAdditional Information
