System Analyst I
will provide technical, programmatic, and logistical support to various information systems. Support includes conducting troubleshooting for various hardware and software components; providing recommendations for improvement of business processes, information systems, and documentation; and performing day-to-day administration of information systems.
ResponsibilitiesImplement, install, maintain, upgrade, and patch software, hardware, and networks using customer processes, guidelines, and standardsResolve software, hardware, server, network, and other technical issues, including generating documentation for the detection and resolution of troubles and failuresConduct testing and evaluation of hardware and software, including glitch detection, vulnerability assessment, and other issuesImplement technical and non-technical security controls to protect and defend information and information systems-approved proceduresConduct installation and configuration of hardware and software-approved proceduresProvide logistical support, including conducting hardware and software inventory, facilitating the delivery of hardware and software, developing, and delivering end-user training on the operation and use of information systems, and analyzing and reporting on trends in information system operation and utilizationOther duties as assigned
QualificationsAssociate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, preferred4+ years of experience in systems administration and lifecycle support of information systems or equivalent military experience is requiredExperience with Microsoft Windows operating systems is requiredIndustry certification corresponding to Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II by DoD 8570.01-M within 90 days of hire is requiredSecret clearance requiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Must have technical knowledge of a variety of operating systems, software applications, hardware components, and cybersecurityAdvanced technical knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, Red Hat operating systems, and/or Cisco IOS or IOS XE highly desirableMust be able to communicate technical concerns and solutions to many different people with varying degrees of technical knowledgeMust be able to effectively prioritize tasking and coordinate changes to various information systemsMust be able to quickly adapt to changes in requirementsExperience with Red Hat operating systems is desirableExperience with Cisco IOS or IOS XE highly is desirableExperience with Microsoft SQL Server highly is desirableExperience automation common administration tasks is highly desirable
