Job Description:We are seeking a skilled and creative Compositor to join our visual effects (VFX) team. The compositors are a crucial part of our VFX team. Our pipeline is different from the traditional VFX pipeline. The ideal candidate will be dependable, have leadership quality, and be flexible with our fast turnarounds.Responsibilities:Visual Effect Design:
Design and execute high-quality visual effects based on project requirements.Work closely with the VFX Supervisor to interpret and bring to life the visual effects that adhere to the project's needs.
Creating Visual Effects:
Utilize compositing software such as Nuke, After Effects, or similar to combine live-action footage with CGI, matte paintings, and other elements.Adjust elements such as light, shadow, texture, and color to achieve a coherent visual output that looks realistic and adheres to the show’s aesthetic style.Manage personal workflow and deadlines to ensure timely delivery of VFX elements.
Technical Support:
Provide technical guidance and support to other team members facing challenges in compositing.Stay updated with the latest developments in compositing technology and techniques.Troubleshoot technical issues in the compositing workflow.
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in film, animation, visual effects, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.Strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in compositing software (e.g., Nuke, After Effects) and a keen eye for detail in creating realistic and visually compelling composite shots.Solid understanding of color theory, lighting, perspective, and composition, with the ability to create visually stunning and technically accurate composite shots that enhance storytelling.Ability to take direction and feedback from supervisors and collaborate effectively with other members of the VFX team to achieve project goals and meet deadlines.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and find creative solutions to achieve desired visual effects.Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.Fluent in English and Mandarin.Benefits:Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits*This role will be a Monthly Contractor position with a $3400-4000 monthly rate.The ideal candidate is able to execute design that fits the company's product with minimum feedback.
