This is a part-time non-benefit eligible substitute position to fulfill the needs of our Nutrition Program. The schedule can vary due to needs at our 6 Meal Site locations around Outagamie County. Meal service hours are between 10:30 AM and 1 PM Monday through Friday, which are the typical hours of need. This position would fill in for our Meal Site Managers that need time off throughout the year at the various locations of Seymour, Hortonville, Appleton (3), and Kaukauna.Supervise Nutrition Program Congregate and Home Delivered meal service operation to persons 60 years and older.Mileage reimbursed at IRS rate.The ideal candidate should have:Reliable transportation to the Meal Sites.Flexibility to serve at any Meal Site in Outagamie County.Self-starter qualities.Experience with customer service.A community-oriented mindset and the ability to serve with compassion.Key Responsibilities:Accept telephone meal reservations, cancellations, and Home Delivered meal service referrals.Oversee volunteers to assist with meal service.Collect and deposit Nutrition Program participant donation revenue.Compile and maintain accurate Nutrition Program record keeping. Submit record keeping in a timely manner.Inform Nutrition Program participants (bulletin board postings, handouts, announcements, etc.) on current information and issues affecting older persons.Arrange meal site programming (nutrition education, health, wellness, social, recreational, etc.).Perform in-home assessments to determine Home Delivered meal service eligibility, if applicable.Oversee and coordinate Home Delivered meal service operation (manage volunteers and Food Transporters).Attend mandatory monthly Staff meetings.Attend other trainings and/or meetings as required.Report meal site conflicts and issues to the Nutrition Program Supervisor.Advise Nutrition Program Supervisor on Nutrition Program policies and procedures.Maintain regular and predictable attendance. Works extra hours as required.Perform other duties as assigned.Education/Certifications/Experience Requirements:Graduation from high school or GED with experience working with older persons and/or persons with disabilities, supervisory and food service experience; OR any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position. Serving Safe Food certification and renewal is a requirement. Valid Driver’s License.Required or Preferred Skills:Passion and sensitivity to needs of older persons and persons with disabilities.Ability to relate and communicate effectively with others, verbally and in writing.Ability to work independently and make sound judgments.Ability to perform duties in a dependable manner.Knowledge of community resources.Ability to oversee and work cooperatively with others.Ability to follow instructions and be flexible to change.Ability to maintain Nutrition Program confidentiality.Ability to perform accurate and timely record keeping tasks.Ability to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects up to 20 lbs.
