Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world.In the role of Principal Transportation Project Manager, we'll count on you to:Serve as Principal Project Manager on key projectsLead, direct, develop and market transportation pursuits in the regionCoordinate with local transportation program leaders to identify, pursue and deliver transportation programs throughout Southern California.Provide oversight of the quality assurance processes on transportation projects.Participate and engage technical experts within HDR in support of client development and project pursuitsDirect and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project’s lifecycle (from development & initiation to close-out)Produce and coordinate several projects concurrentlyEstablish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetingsConduct work sessions for deliverable development in conjunction with other staff and stakeholdersCoordinate staffing and workload through entire project life cycle, and ensure completion of deliverables on scheduleTrack financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to budget and scheduleWork with the Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviewsImplement QA/QC proceduresSupervise large project staffs and act as mentor for less-experienced Project ManagersPerform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Sciences, Planning, Business Administration or closely related fieldDBIA certificationExperience leading the consultant or owner program management team of at least one [transportation/water/resources] infrastructure program(s) with a capital value of $1 billionKnowledgeable of other alternative delivery/contract models, such as public-private partnership (P3), design-build-finance-operate-maintain (DBFOM), and engineering procurement construction (EPC)Willingness to travel regularly, and if needed, commute to a client's site temporarilyPMP certification20 years related experienceDemonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skillsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Sciences, Planning, Business Administration or a closely related fieldAt least one of the following licenses/certifications: Professional Engineering License, PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, PMI Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification, AICP Certification, or CMAA Certified Construction Manager (CCM) CertificationProgram management experience consistent with the following requirements: A minimum of ten (10) years of program management experience, with at least four (4) years as a Senior Program Manager, and experience leading as a Senior Program Manager or serving in a similar role on delivery of three or more programs, each with a capital value of $500 million or moreStrong leadership skills with experience building a cohesive team culture and managing team members located in various locationsExcellent communication skills. Comfortable presenting to client executives and in front of a large audience in a public settingManagement experience with the implementation of projects or programs using alternative and collaborative delivery methods, including design-build (DB), progressive design-build (PDB), and/or construction management at-risk (CMAR)Familiar with the various types of tools used to manage large programs – PMIS, CMIS, scheduling, cost control, document management, risk management, asset management, dashboard analytics, etc.Experience working in an integrated fashion within a Program Management Office (PMO) comprised of both consultant and client staffWhat We BelieveHDR is our company.
