Clarke University is seeking an experienced and motivated Instructional Technology Manager to plan, implement, and support the integration of technology into classroom instruction. The ideal candidate will have a background in teaching or training, a strong understanding of instructional design principles, and experience with Moodle or other Learning Management Systems. This position will involve frequent collaboration with faculty, staff, and students to meet organizational goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Instructional Design:
Collaborate with faculty to design, develop, and evaluate engaging learning experiences using Moodle and other educational technologies. Ensure alignment with curriculum goals and learning outcomes.
Technical Support:
Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for faculty and students using Moodle and other instructional tools. Develop and maintain documentation for technical processes and best practices.
Training and Development:
Conduct workshops, webinars, and one-on-one training sessions for faculty and students on effective use of Moodle and other instructional technologies. Create user-friendly resources, guides, and tutorials to enhance technology adoption.
Collaboration:
Work closely with faculty, instructional designers, and IT staff to ensure the seamless integration of technology in teaching and learning. Advocate for the use of best practices in instructional technology across the institution.
Assessment and Evaluation:
Assist in assessing the effectiveness of instructional technology initiatives through data analysis and feedback. Recommend improvements based on assessment findings.
Stay Current:
Monitor emerging trends in instructional technology, online learning, and best practices in higher education. Share insights and recommendations with faculty and administration.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field.
Experience in instructional design and course development.
Proficiency with Moodle or similar Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Strong technical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on collaboration and training.
Experience in teaching or training within an educational setting is highly desirable.
Familiarity with various educational technologies and tools (e.g., multimedia, assessments, interactive learning tools).
