The University of Missouri Department of Surgery, Division of Pediatric Surgery is seeking a Pediatric Surgeon to join our team as we open a new children's hospital on the main university campus. A collaborative and collegial group, including Pediatric Surgeons, Surgical Nurse Practitioners, nurse clinicians, clinic nurses and administrative support deliver innovative care with cutting edge technology and established multi-disciplinary clinics and programs.Bowel Management program with full motility capabilities with Pelvic Floor Physical therapy, Rehabilitative Ultrasound, Biofeedback, and Motility OR slots using our own Manometry system.Chest Wall Malformation program including Pediatric Pulmonary and Physical therapists with black bone imaging capabilities, use of cryoablation and the new pectus Blu system.Multi-disciplinary Vascular Anomalies program with Pediatric and Adult IR support.Dedicated feeding access program and clinics managed by our Surgical Nurse Practitioners.Fetal Program with full diagnostic and interventional capabilities in a dedicated integrated i-suite Fetal OR.A dedicated outpatient facility for all pediatric services is connected directly to the Children's Hospital via a sky-bridge. Pediatric volumes included 37,000 outpatient visits and 4,700 pediatric operative cases last year. Our outstanding surgical team utilizes advanced technology available at MU Healthcare.

To further strengthen our research mission, we have a dedicated research team within the Department of Surgery with an established clinical trials and outcomes platform and multiple basic science labs through the NexGen Precision Health.About ColumbiaColumbia, Mo., is known as an ideal college town, combining small-town comforts, community spirit and low cost of living with big-city culture, activities, and resources.
