The ideal candidate will have past experience working as a systems or support engineer.- You will enjoy keeping your existing technical skills honed and developing new ones, so you can make strong contributions to deep architecture discussions.- You will regularly take part in deep-dive education and design exercises to create truly innovative solutions built on AWS.It is expected to work from one of the above locations (or customer sites) at least 1+ days in a week. This is not a remote position. Thats why youll find endless knowledge-sharing, mentorship and other career-advancing resources here to help you develop into a better-rounded professional.Basic Qualifications- Programming experience with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Nodejs, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby- 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience- 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or abovePreferred Qualifications- UX/UI experience - Extensive experience architecting, designing and programming applications in an AWS Cloud environment- Experience with designing and building application using AWS services such as EC2, AWS Elastic Beanstalk, AWS OpsWorks and hands on familiarity with CloudFormation- Designing and building application using Container and serverless technologies- Experience architecting highly available systems that utilize load balancing, horizontal scalability and high availability Experience with continuous integration tools (e.g. Jenkins)- Experience with configuration management platforms (e.g. Chef, Puppet, Salt, or Ansible)- Strong scripting skills (e.g. Powershell, Python, Bash, Ruby, Perl, etc.)- Strong practical application development experience on Linux and Windows-based systems- Extra curricula software development passion (e.g. active open source contributor)Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $204,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
