SkillStorm is seeking Software Developers to join one of our government system integrator clients. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the development, configuration, and testing of applications. Your work will involve close collaboration with product owners, business analysts, and development teams to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices. The ideal candidate will possess a solid technical foundation, strong problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to learn in a team-oriented environment. Please note that this position requires the ability to obtain security clearance.

Software Developer Competencies:

Understanding of application architecture, design patterns, and best practices.Hands-on experience using OOP programming languages, testing tools, and database management.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Ability to navigate project management and workflow tools.Proven understanding and application of Waterfall, Agile Scrum, and Kanban software development methodologies.Experience with relational databases, SQL, and web services (REST/SOAP).Ability to navigate BA Workflow, Agile Scrum, and Project Management tools (Jira, MS Project, Visio, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Business Process / Rules repositories).Other Requirements:

Bachelor's degree required.Relevant industry experience, with a preference for candidates familiar with application development and testing methodologies.5 years of W2 experience, including at least 2 years of relevant technical experience, is required.Ability to obtain a security clearance. (The process involves a thorough background check, including a review of criminal records, tax records, employment history, drug possession, and personal references.)US Citizenship is required for public sector roles under SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. Assist in the development and configuration of applications and solutions.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and completeness of requirements.Participate in testing activities, including developing test plans and executing automated test cases.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to applications and integrations.Contribute to knowledge-sharing sessions and the development of internal documentation.Stay updated with the latest features and industry trends to enhance development practices.

About:SkillStorm's program: We equip you with the skills and certifications required by our clients. You will spend 12 weeks collaborating in team-based settings, undertaking diverse, real-world projects to prepare for seamless integration into our clients' operations. Once training is complete, you will be deployed to our enterprise or government agency clients, ready to have an immediate impact on day one.
