As a Robotics Engineer, Quality Assurance you will join our Quality Assurance team in our Carson, CA office to help keep our software stable and the user experience seamless to ensure manufacturing across the world will help Role & ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases, plans, and scripts for robotic functionalities, including motion, control systems, sensors, and software integrations.Identify, analyze, and report software defects, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement.Conduct regression, functional, and stress testing.Design, test, and release hardware and embedded software components to enhance testing capabilities.Act as a subject matter expert on using our software stack from a customer and Application Engineer perspective.Collaborate closely with the software development team to understand architectural design and specific functionalities.Work with hardware team to validate new peripheral devices for integration into preexisting robotic platformsWork with the product team and stakeholders to define and refine product requirements and specifications.Minimum QualificationsBS degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or similar/equivalent industry experience.2-3 years of experience in Quality AssuranceIf no testing experience:1-3 years experience as a Software EngineerProficiency in Python & C++Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across multiple teamsWillingness to work in a fast-paced environment with quickly changing prioritiesMust secure work authorization in the United States and maintain ongoing work authorization beginning at the time of hire through the entirety of employmentPreferred QualificationsExperience with ROS/ROS 2.Familiarity with Docker.CI/CDGithub Actions or JenkinsExperience with Pytest.Knowledge of Arduino or PLC programming.API Testing experienceGrayMatter Robotics provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
