The Challenge:

This isan operational support role to an active fighterunit; you will be responsible for the security andintegrity of our systems that keep our jets flying.It takes more than steel, advanced electronicsand engine thrust to make the F-35 Lightning II,the world's fifth generation fighter, take flight. Itis the Autonomic Logistics Information System(ALIS) that gives F-35 Lightning II operators theability to plan, to maintain, to plan and sustainits systems over the life of the air vehicle. ALISprovides the IT backbone and capabilities tosupport current and future Warfighters acrossthe U.S. and allied military services.
As critical members of the F35 Operations Team,all ALIS administrators must be able to:
* Obtain and maintain Special Access Programclearance required for program access
* This is an operational support role to activefighter units. Administrators must be willing andable to travel for militarydeployments/detachments (ship and/or shore)for extended periods of time dependent uponoperational needs.
* Capable of working various shift hours toinclude weekends to support customer missionrequirements.
* Candidates offered a position may be requiredto complete a pre-employment medical examthat is designed to ensure capability to deploywith our military customer, which may be toaustere environments with limited access tomedical care.
A Day in the Life:
As an ALIS Administrator with our F-35 ALISteam partnering with our customer, you will wearmany hats; mission planning admin duties,system admin duties, and network admin duties.ALIS Administrators are generally the first pointof contact for customer inquiries, field anyquestions and/orconcern and troubleshoot any reportedproblems. You will be assigned tasks in mostALIS administrative roles to further develop yourskills and increase capabilities within the ALISadministrator role.
* Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
o Interacting daily with users providingassistance on the ALIS product suite
o Perform COMSEC duties and adhere torequirements; learn CRO duties
o Support pilots in Mission Planning/Debriefingand identify/resolve system shortfalls
o Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS)installation and data updates
o Support, administer, and monitor associatedhardware/software and pilot accounts
o Maintaining smooth, secure operation of multiuser computer systems through coordinationwith peers, Tier2 and engineers
o Training ALIS Administrators and users on theALIS system as needed
o Backups, restores, and disaster recovery ofsystems/databases/network equipment
o Reviewing processes/procedures, collectsystem operational data for analysis
o Coordinating extranet equipment installationswith enterprise and local communicationsfacilitiesBasic Qualifications:o Candidates must have a Secret securityclearance with investigation within the last 6years
o Candidates must have DoD IAT Level IIcertification (Security+, CySA+, or CCNA)
o IT experience of any combination in MissionPlanning/system/network administration
o COMSEC experienceDesired Skills:o Precision Guided Munitions Planning Software(PGMPS) experience
o Mission Planning Systems SupportRepresentatives (SSR) experience
o Personal Computer Debrief Software (PCDS)experience
o Military Flight Operations & Planning Processes
o Account Maintenance using Active Directory
o Disaster recovery: backups and restores ofphysical servers, virtual machines and networkequipment
o Virtual Machine Management Service (Hyper-V/ VmWare)
