The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc. is currently seeking a well-organized, self-motivated individual to work as a Grant and Contract Assistant in the Corporate Office in Menands, New York. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills and be able to work independently. The Grant and Contract Assistant will be primarily responsible for the review and set up of subrecipient agreements with vendors and suppliers, as well as processing invoices/vouchers for payment and Oracle transactions.
A successful candidate will possess strong written and oral communication skills, attention to deadlines and details, the ability to learn new systems and applications, solid organizational skills, and the ability to work cooperatively with a wide variety of professional staff (both internal and external). Capacity to exercise discretion and to promote effective solutions is an asset.

The duties of the Grant and Contract Assistant will include, but are not limited to:Reviewing and processing of a variety of vendor and supplier agreements.Reviewing budgets for allowability, reasonableness, and accuracy.Reviewing scopes of work.Checking sub-agreements for flow-down of award terms and conditions.Reviewing and processing grant expenditures such as invoices, vouchers and pay orders.Checking available funding on accounts.Running and distributing variety of monthly and ad hoc reports, alerting senior staff to issues or concerns.Obtaining internal and external signatures as required.Manage and maintaining electronic files.Assisting other colleagues and departments as needed.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field
OR Associate Degree and two (2) years relevant experienceOR High School Diploma and four (4) or more years relevant experience
Experience with Microsoft applications, especially Outlook, Word and ExcelPreferred Qualifications:
Experience with Oracle, Adobe and AdobeSign
