Purpose of the role
To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.
AccountabilitiesDevelopment and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.Assistant Vice President Expectations
To advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and take responsibility for operational effectiveness. What will you be doing?
Barclays Services Corp. seeks AVP, Application Developer, RFT Tech in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available):
Responsible for software architecture design of enterprise-class distributed, micro-service & cloud-based application;Translate high level requirement into defined work items to produce technical artifacts to support the Global Treasury business within Risk, Finance and Treasury in delivering its strategic objectives within the constraints of a regulatory environment.Design new software solutions using event driven Microservice and Enterprise Integration Patterns based architecture.Contribute to model/design storming sessions, sprint demos, planning sessions and retrospectives; contribute to the definition of software development standards, patterns, and techniques.Provide software development support in production and contribute to test environment setup and management, Big-data solution design and optimization, and drive the adoption of Lean and Agile techniques.Work with the Team Leads, Product Owners and Project Managers to build the project backlog, ensure that requirements are sufficiently detailed to be assigned to developers;Conduct software design and code evaluations in the contest of development;Oversee performance bottlenecks and provide solutions to resolve.Conduct reviews of test plans and test scripts;May telecommute.
