Strada, a multi-disciplinary design firm, is seeking a talented architect with a broad range of leadership capabilities. The ideal candidate will bring demonstrated business acumen and experience with business development, maintaining strong client relationships, and building effective teams. This studio leader will be part of our growing Chapel Hill studio that is part of our larger, regional design firm.
Our cross-disciplinary approach to design is immersive, human-centric, and diverse. We actively leverage the expertise and talents from the variety of disciplines within our three studios to achieve exceptional results for our clients. Candidates should be willing to learn and contribute to the design process. We look for individuals who are talented and passionate about their work. We help you cultivate your talents as part of the design team.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Lead multi-disciplinary project teams and consultants in a highly collaborative environment
Strategize with other studio leaders and firm Principals in developing new business opportunities
Effectively manage projects including design, schedule, budget, and contract compliance
Mentor team members to ensure their professional growth
Required Skills and Abilities
Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills
Strong design sensitivity
Ability to think creatively and strategically
Working knowledge of construction roles and responsibilities for various delivery methods
Understanding of liabilities, risks, and responsibilities related to professional practice
Facility for working in digital design software
Additional
Must be licensed to practice architecture in North Carolina
Minimum of 12 years of experience in a design firm
Experience at managing in-house multi-disciplinary design teams a plus
Sustainable design experience and/or certifications a plus
