Actively participates in the delivery of Pulmonary Medicine services.

This position is represented by SEIU Local UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.Qualifications

Greater than six (6) months experience in respiratory therapy

Current California Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure (CT RCP)

Current AHA CPR certification (CT CPRBLS)

Special Skills:

Demonstrates proficient technical skills in the performance of respiratory therapies and core competencies

Demonstrates a working knowledge of current trends in the performance of respiratory therapies.

After 12 months demonstrates ability to take on charge therapist responsibilities as required with some level of supervision from Unit Manager.

Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.

Establishes effective working relationships with other departments medical staff and co-workers; treats public courteously tactfully and professionally.

Performs all RT I duties & job requirements without direct supervision
