Role Summary
The Inventory Associate is responsible for inventory supplies management and for supplying inventory to team members for the start of production, which includes pulling, unpacking inventory, and ensuring that scanned orders match the pulled inventory. This role will also support accurate and efficient counting, stocking, and auditing of lens material and lab supplies.
ResponsibilitiesPulls and unpacks inventory to supply production team with the inventory needed for new orders as they come in.Performs inventory control activities to provide lab supplies in a timely and effective manner for established internal procedures.Serves as point-person for restocking of supplies to identify shortages, control overstock, and facilitate timely turnover of products.May verify inventory counts in tracking systems by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigates discrepancies and adjusts errors.Ensures all inventory transactions (inventory, receipt, stock issue) are completed accurately within the appropriate tracking systems.Responds to and appropriately executes supply requests, both urgent and routine, and provides professional and prompt customer support to team members.Participates in bi-annual physical inventory count.Runs appropriate reports to identify supply issues that need addressing and, where appropriate, presents solutions and reporting metrics to management.Maintains, cleans, and organizes inventory supply and equipment storage areas.Perform other duties as assigned.Requirements
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).Minimum of 2 years' experience in inventory management required.Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent time management skills, strong decision-making ability and excellent attention to detail.Well organized, able to work in a fast-paced environment.Flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient while maintaining professionalism always.Inclination for learning new systems and applications a plus.Strong computer proficiency and comfort using several software and web-based applications.Committed to collaboration and teamwork.Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
