Nightwing is seeking an experienced and cleared Application Developer in support of USG in the Herndon Virginia area. The selected candidate will analyze functional business applications and design specifications for functional activities.
Anticipated Responsibilities:Develops codes, tests, and debugs new software or enhancements to existing softwarePerforms maintenance on existing software products and contributes knowledge of business applicationsWrites programs according to specifications neededWorks with technical staff to understand problems had with software and then resolve themResolves customer complaints and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancementsDevelops block diagrams and logic flow chartsProvides technical direction to programmers to ensure program deadlines are metSoftware version control baseline documentationDevelop project schedules and timelinesLeverage experience across the Center, Group and external officesCoordinate with Customer's security elements for Project Certification and AccreditationExperience in authoring documents (reports, briefings, etc,) to support customer missionsCommunicates with staff or clients to understand specific systems requirementsProvides advice on project costs, design concepts, or design changes.Trains system users in system operation or maintenanceResearches, tests, and/or verifies proper functioning of software patches and fixesRequired Skills:
Excellent oral and written communication skillsHighly mission-focused/orientedDevelops, in conjunction with functional users, system alternative solutions.Ability to effectively manage several projects simultaneously in a rapidly paced environmentExcellent understanding of communications/email protocol API implementationWorking knowledge of Customer's organization, internal policies, and processesExcellent knowledge of Customer's software development cycle and O&M processesWilling to "go the extra mile" ensuring that time critical requirements are met.Prior experience working with multiple IC organizationsAbility to work as part of a team of very strong personalities in a very dynamic environmentHighly mission-orientedC2SJava & SpringNode JSVueREST Web ServicesSQLLinux & BASHDesired Skills:

The salary range for this role is 105,000 USD - 221,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
