Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Product owner to join our team. The product owner is responsible for managing the data products and platforms within our wealth management platform. The role involves understanding the needs of the business stakeholders and end users to ensure the data products are delivering actionable insights and value.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Execution:
Work closely with data owners, data analysts, business stakeholders and end-users to prioritize features that will deliver highest business value.
Collaborate with engineering and UX design teams to break down blockers and develop effective solutions for data platforms.
Develop and write specifications for major features, ensuring the right amount of detail is included.
Think through and specify complex functionality, making trade-off decisions to launch high-quality products.
Assess the quality of existing UX and make recommendations for improvements.
Work with technology and product teams to track and maintain the scope of backlog features across cross-POD teams.
Work closely with the scrum team to deliver on the POD OKRs
Hold decision-making accountability and guide decisions made in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information technology, Finance or the equivalent combination of education and work experience is required.
3-5 years of experience in product management and agile methodology
5-10 years of experience in Financial Services
Experience in both Product Management and Digital Transformation preferred
Skills and Competencies:
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strategic thinker and proficient problem solver with demonstrated ability to work independently
Ability to work autonomously and make informed decisions.
Proficiency in JIRA and Agile methodologies is required.
SAFe Product Owner certification preferred.
Proficiency in data analysis skills preferred.
Technical skills in Python, SQL and Snowflake preferred.
