About the Role:
We're looking for a dynamic and intellectually curious Sr Brand Manager, Famous Amos & Royal Dansk. As the Sr Brand Manager, Famous Amos & Royal Dansk, you'll manage two direct reports. The primary responsibility is to develop and execute brand strategies to achieve the 3-year brand goals for both brands, with a focus on driving both top and bottom-line growth.
This role is hybrid and located in Chicago, IL. This position reports into the VP, Distinctive Brands Portfolio (Famous Amos, Mother's, Murray, and Royal Dansk).
Main Responsibilities:
Business and Brand Analysis, Monitoring and ReportingIn-depth market, competitive and brand analysis to assist in formulating brand strategy within a fast-moving consumer packaged goods categoryAnalyze business and brand results to ensure strategies are working and objectives are being realized, recommending course correction where relevantPrepare and create engaging, meaningful and persuasive presentationsOwn and actively manage brand marketing budgetProduct Management
Lead qualitative and quantitative market research briefing through to interpreting result and making recommendations for innovation and renovationLead innovation development with cross-functional team from concept to opportunity assessment through launch within our internal stage gate processPartner with Finance to ensure profitability with innovation while guiding R&D on formula cost thresholdsWork closely with Category management and Trade Marketing to develop compelling sell-in stories/toolkits to ensure customer acceptance of innovationBrand Equity and Communications Planning and Execution
Lead agency partners in creative development, asset development and execution of consumer and shopper activationEnsure coherency across all consumer and shopper touchpoints to, drive cohesive and impactful messaging and trademark consistency in all communicationsSet and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), offering recommendations for optimization of plans/assetsLeadership
Lead, motivate and develop team membersNurture an effective working relationship with business unit counterparts and lead proper field execution of marketing strategiesWho we are looking for:
7+ years experience in consumer-packaged goods brand marketingExperience working with syndicated databases; i.e. IRI, ACNielsenAbility to manage and prioritize multiple projects within scheduled timelinesSolid project management skills from planning stage to execution and final assessment in order to achieve brand objectives and goalsWell-versed in Budget Management; Previous management of P&LExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to influence internal stakeholders at all levelsPassion, energy and drive to work with world-class brandsMust be self-motivated and exhibit an entrepreneurial spiritWell-versed in Forecasting & Demand PlanningExperience managing a team and creative agencies
