PG Regulatory Compliance with administering the PG Compliance program for a fleet of power generation plants and is responsible for compliance procedure development, compilation, and maintenance of PUCT, FERC, ERCOT, NERC, and regional (TRE) compliance documents, and performing compliance assessments and analyses. Duties include preparing professional level documentation packages for submittal as compliance evidence with support from applicable SMEs; maintaining documentation for Federal and Regional submissions; maintaining compliance documentation and department procedural documentation; responding to requests for data, analysis, and reports from internal and external groups and developing optimal reporting solutions for such requests; performing control activities and assessments; preparing for, and participating in, regulatory audits. Supports Compliance Division staff, as required, with related laws, rules and regulations that could impact the electric utility.Tasks and ResponsibilitiesDocument compliance processes, conduct gap analysis, identify corrective actions, and implement suitable controls to prevent recurrence. Work with Stakeholders to develop sustainable program improvements. Develop and implement internal processes and procedures for compliance monitoring program. Develops, coordinates, implements and updates policies, procedures and programs, when required, to support and maintain compliance with Reliability Standards and industry changes. Monitors regulatory activities as requested to assure awareness and responsiveness to the changes of the regulatory environment.Audit - Collect artifacts related to internal / external audit requests, self-certification, quarterly data submittals, and other regulatory inquiries. Assist and prepare documentation for the completion of questions and gather evidence to support compliance.Regulatory Requirement education - Research and review changes to regulatory protocols and operating guidelines for applicability to CPS Energy. Develop communications and participate in meetings related to changes in standards.Remains current with regulatory requirements and advises staff regarding the development and implementation of compliance strategies, potential areas of regulatory compliance concern, and new government/regulatory developments.Aids stakeholder groups in formulating and implementing programs and practices which support compliance with regulatory standards and requirementsTracks the development of new/revised standards and implements Power Generation (PG) action plans to ensure compliance.Supports the maintenance and implementation of the PG Internal Compliance Program.Provides support in response to system events and aids in the development of Event Analysis Reports.Assists in collecting and maintaining the storage of documentation and evidence required to demonstrate compliance and ensure that the retention of all documentation meets regulatory requirements.Strong capability to build and maintain effective relationships with PG Management Team, Compliance Committee, and Subject Matter Experts.Participates in Root Cause Analysis as required.Frequent travel between Corpus Christi and Laredo.Occasional travel to San Antonio.Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum SkillsMinimum Knowledge and AbilitiesUnderstands processes and procedures in particular field of specialization. Exceptionally strong analytical and problem solving abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, electronic mail and scheduling Initiative to work independently or as a member of a team, coordinating with others to achieve desired results. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills for interaction with all levels of personnel. Ability to meet goals and objectives with minimal direct supervision. Effective interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to make recommendations and independent decisions. Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in the bulk electric industry and experience with instituting a coordinated compliance-type program.Direct GO NERC/Texas RE and ERCOT regulatory experience at a Power Generation Facility.Understanding of the industrial control systems, networks and controls systems at CPS Energy to ensure system reliability.
