The role:Simmons & Simmons is on the lookout for a skilled Solutions DevOps Engineer to join our pioneering technology team. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our firm's AI Programme lead and the Champions network to develop and deliver innovative services and products. This is the perfect role for someone passionate about AI and eager to make a significant impact!This role involves working with our LLM/GenAI and IT development teams to support the building of innovative enterprise-grade software solutions.You’ll be responsible for deploying solutions, identifying production issues, and implementing cloud integrations to meet our legal needs while automating wherever possible through code to continuously improve efficiency.What will you do:Lead the deployment of cloud solutions using infrastructure as code, focusing on AI-driven applications and working alongside the developers & product owner.Work on automating and improving development and release processes, ensuring systems are secure against cybersecurity threats.Participate in technology evaluation and continuous process improvement activities to enhance operational efficiency.Act as a technical project lead, developing, enhancing, and maintaining automation tools for cloud enablement.Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to maintain and optimize our IT infrastructure, ensuring compliance and security.Provide Level 3 Support, identifying and resolving incidents quickly and effectively.Engage in project management decisions, from planning to execution, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in AI/ML, NLP, and related fields, actively integrating innovative technologies to keep our services at the forefront of the legal tech industry.Ensure solutions are high-performing, resilient, secure, and governed according to defined patterns & architecture principles.Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI/ML, NLP, and related technologies, evaluating and incorporating them into our projects to maintain our competitive edge.What we are looking for:BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in infrastructure, with at least 3 years in DevOps, specifically within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.Strong cloud engineering/DevOps skills and a strong interest in AI/LLM development.Good understanding of Python and ML frameworks for AI development.Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Document Intelligence, Azure Networking, and Azure Security Principles.Good understanding of AI development tools and practices within the Microsoft ecosystem.Excellent communication skills, able to articulate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.A commitment to Quality Assurance, Continuous Improvement, and adherence to best practices.Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse and inclusive team.Logical and analytical mindset, with a strong practical focus and a problem-solving attitude.Effective at scheduling, prioritizing work, and communicating complex topics in plain English.Motivational technical leadership, collaborative team spirit, and a commitment to continuous learning and development.Flexibility and willingness to work out of hours when required and undertake occasional international travel to support business needs.Here at Simmons & Simmons:Simmons & Simmons is a place where dynamic minds thrive.
