The Foundry Applications Engineer is a key member of the Foundry Services Team supporting product development for multiple customers in the Commercial and Defense & Aerospace market segments. The incumbent will develop marketable technical and collaborative skills as they interface with both internal and external customers on exciting new products.Responsibilities:Provide technical support to internal and external foundry customers designing MMICs for fabrication with Qorvo.Customer support: Design Kits, layout rules, design input procedures, and on-wafer DC/RF testing.Provide technical support to customers using Qorvo Design Kits (ADS, AWR).Provide technical support to customers on Qorvo’s DC and RF on-wafer test capabilities and the documentation requirements for testing.Provide customer support in using vendor-supplied and internally developed software/tools for layout verification.Participate and/or develop projects that support Foundry initiatives towards improving cycle-time, productivity, and overall improved interface for both our internal and external customers.Requirements:Broad knowledge in areas such as: Semiconductor design using ADS/AWR, DC/RF testing, DRCs, applications engineering, and layout tools (ADS, AWR).Experience with microwave test equipment/measurements and data analysis.Good communication skills; ability to quickly respond to questions/inquiries from multiple customers.Must be detail-oriented and have good organizational skills.Required Education & Experience:BS Electrical EngineeringA minimum of 5 years relevant work experienceSemiconductor industry experience, ADS, AWR tool experience, must be familiar with RF/Microwave.This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship by the Company.This position requires a Security Clearance.
